5th October 2014 - Madeleine's Birthday

Madeleine Sparko!Today was Madeleine's birthday. She is now 4. And this may sound like a cliche but I just don't know where the time has gone. It was so nice to take time off from a busy schedule and spend some time trying to make my own children happy.

Of course Madeleine and Isabelle have seen my show many times before. But they still joined in and so keen to help. They laughed in the right places and enjoyed the show as if they were watching it for the first time! Isabelle even kept me well supplied with crisps and sandwiches!

Afterwards a trip down to Adventure Island and it was such a joy to see their beaming faces racing around to get on as many rides as possible.

A lovely day and a very proud dad. Thank you for being such a special daughter. I sometimes forget how lucky I am.

19th September 2014 - A trip to Hockley Woods

I've always loved Hockley Woods ever since I was a child, and with the children's play area it's now even more of a great place to visit. So today I took my two girls (Isabelle and Madeleine) for a little daddy and daughters time.

The children had a great time playing in the park but I have to say I was keen to find one of several Geocaches hidden in the woods. It was about 5.30pm and the sun was getting low in the sky. The beams of light were filtering through the trees and looked absolutely stunning. However even with the fantastic Galaxy S5 it was difficult to capture the almost fairytale-like images. I took several pictures but they really didn't do the landscape justice.

We found the geocache and the children didn't moan too much! But I wanted to try and get that picture. So one more try and I found just holding the camera up slightly I was better able to capture the sun playing through the trees. Several snaps later I caught the perfect picture:
